Abandon Ship or Abandon All Hope

This piece is a part of my printmaking series "Lyrics: Image and Type." The series was made for my Lithography final where we had to make a self initiated cohesive series of work with a constant theme. I chose lyrics from songs that meant something to me and emphasized the intonation and feeling of the phrase through typography and Imagery.The words from this piece came from the Four Year Strong song "Abandon Ship or Abandon All Hope" track. I used a thin white font on top to make it look like it is still floating on the turbulent, Japanese style waves. Also the white catches your attention to increase readability. The heavier black text has already been pulled down, following the quote.
